France Parkinson is funding 4 to 6 travel grants for the 5th Gordon Research Conference on Parkinson's Disease, which takes place from 8 to 13 June 2025 in Waterville Valley, New Hampshire, USA. The travel grants are intended for PhD or post-doctoc researchers, working on Parkinson's disease in a laboratory in France.
The Gordon Research Conference (GRC) on Parkinson's disease brings together scientists from many disciplines to discuss the most important questions in the basic science of Parkinson's disease, including the mechanisms of pathogenesis and pathophysiology, and how this might influence therapeutics.
As with the other GRCs, there will be plenty of time for discussion and informal networking opportunities between students, postdocs and group leaders. It is therefore a unique opportunity for young doctoral and post-doctoral researchers to present their work, discuss new methods, innovative ideas and pre-published data, and develop collaborative relationships with their peers. Experienced mentors and moderators will facilitate active participation in scientific discussions to enable all participants to be engaged actors rather than spectators.
The selection committee will choose a total of 150 abstracts. France Parkinson will support the travel and registration to the congress of the first 5 candidates meeting the following criteria:
1. Work in a research centre in France
2. Be a PhD student or post-doctoral fellow
3. Have your abstract selected by the GRC committee.
If you are interested in taking part, please consult our current programme and send your application to https://www.grc.org/parkinson-s-disease-conference/2025/.
Oral presentations (particularly from junior researchers) will be selected from the abstracts submitted.
In order to promote the careers of doctoral and post-doctoral students, this meeting is associated with a Gordon Research Seminar (GRS), to be held on 7 and 8 June 2025. The GRS allows trainees to meet and learn more about the field before the GRC begins. View the agenda and register for the GRS here:https://www.grc.org/parkinson-s-disease-grs-conference/2025/ .
Other speakers (students and postdocs) will be selected from the abstracts submitted.
