Context

The Interventional Neuropsychology Team (NPI), a joint research unit (INSERM, UPEC, ENS), led by Prof. Anne-Catherine Bachoud-Lévi is recruiting a post-doctoral researcher in neuropsychology to develop cognitive tools for the follow-up of patients with neurodegenerative diseases.

The NPI team is present on two sites:

▪     The Mondor Institute of Biomedical Research in Créteil (http://www.imrb.inserm.fr/equipes/ac-bachoud-levi/)

▪     l’Institut d’Etudes de la Cognition (http://www.cognition.ens.fr/ProjetLabex.html)  at Ecole normale supérieure in Paris.

The originality of the NPI team is based on the combination of fundamental research in cognition and clinical research in neuropsychology and biotherapies of neurodegenerative diseases.

Main task

The main objective of this project is to develop and validate new protocols for the evaluation of cognitive, psychiatric and motor impairments as well as functional abilities of patients with neurodegenerative diseases and in particular of Huntington's disease. This research project is part of the European Repair-HD program (http://www.repair-hd.eu). The protocols developed will have to be rapidly applied to cell and gene therapy clinical trials in Huntington patients and will eventually be extended to other pathologies.

Profile

▪     Doctorate in cognitive sciences / neuropsychology / neurosciences

▪     Knowledge in social cognition and/or language processing

▪     Training and experience in neuropsychology and cognition

▪     Ability to perform psychometric and cognitive tests with patients

▪     Proficiency in statistical analysis tools

▪     Fluent English and French (written and oral)
