NeurATRIS contributes to promote the education of its members, as well as that of the translational neuroscience community, by organising or supporting the organisation of scientific events in its field of interest.

Co-organisation and support:
NeurATRIS co-organises or supports the organisation of high-level national and international events. All NeurATRIS senior researchers needing to organise an event in neuroscience can request its support, via a dedicated form.

Continuing education:
To keep NeurATRIS scientists and the translational neuroscience community at the forefront of their expertise, NeurATRIS (co-)organises various scientific events such as workshops and webinars in partnership with the ERIC EATRIS.

Find all the scientific events (co-)organised by NeurATRIS in the "Schedule" and "News" sections of NeurATRIS.

Annual Translational Neuroscience Day :
NeurATRIS organises the annual Translational Neuroscience Day, which aims to bring together key players in the field of neurodegenerative, neurological and neurodevelopmental diseases: researchers, clinicians, technology transfer structures, biotechnology companies and the pharmaceutical industry. This event includes a session dedicated to highlighting the skills of young researchers: "Next Generation Challenge", during which Master students, PhD students and post-doctoral fellows have the opportunity to present their work through a poster or a short oral communication, the best of which is awarded a NeurATRIS prize by a jury of experts in the field.

To find out when the next NeurATRIS Translational Neuroscience Day will be held, please see the Schedule.

In order to support the translational neuroscience community and to strengthen French academic research in this field, NeurATRIS proposes :

  • Research Support which aims to i) promote collaborative projects between NeurATRIS members and the scientific community involved in neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental diseases, and ii) allow selected research teams to access the technological platforms, expertise and support of INBS partners.
  • Training Support to address the need to train the next generation of translational neuroscience researchers and clinicians, as well as the users and staff of our platforms.
  • Support for the organisation of scientific events, in order to promote training and interaction between members of the translational neuroscience community.

The education and training of students and young researchers (initial and continuing education) is at the heart of NeurATRIS activities, either through the activities of its members or through the financial support of NeurATRIS to encourage their participation in high level scientific events. This concerns for example students in medicine, pharmacy, engineering schools, or in Master, PhD or postdoctoral training, hosted by NeurATRIS partners.

University training:
NeurATRIS members are involved in several university courses such as Masters, Graduate Schools, University Diplomas (DU), Medical and Paramedical Schools and Innovative Training Networks (ITN). The aim of these courses is to highlight the translational aspects and advantages of developing strategies ranging from in vitro models to clinical trials in neurodegenerative, neurological and/or neurodevelopmental diseases.

Training of NeurATRIS platform users:
Throughout the year, the NeurATRIS platforms organise specialised training courses for their new users. The latter can also be trained during technical workshops regularly organised by NeurATRIS member institutes, such as during the annual ICM platform day (https://institutducerveau-icm.org/en/actualite/technical-platform-day-at-the-icm/).

Support for participation in scientific events:

To facilitate the access of students and young researchers to high-level training, NeurATRIS covers their mission expenses in order to help them attend national and international congresses, workshops and summer schools relevant to the field. All young scientists within the NeurATRIS perimeter can apply for financial support, usually covering transport, accommodation and/or registration fees, via a dedicated form.

«Next Generation Challenges»:
On the occasion of its annual Translational Neuroscience Day, NeurATRIS highlights the skills of young researchers through a dedicated session: "Next Generation Challenge" (see page "Scientific events"). Master students, PhD students and post-doctoral fellows have the opportunity to present their work through a poster or a short oral communication, the best of which is awarded a NeurATRIS prize by a jury of experts in the field.

To know the date of the next NeurATRIS Translational Neuroscience Day, please consult the "Schedule" section.
